This weekend is the NASCAR Busch Light Clash at the LA Coliseum. According to the latest reports, Jeff Gordon will be present and will take on the role of Grand Marshal. It will be the second time he has been nominated to play the role, and if all goes well, he will actually perform his duty. Speaking of which, Ricky Stenhouse Jr had a ball of a time, teasing Gordon about his upcoming duty.
This was because the former Hendrick driver was expected to be the Grand Marshal for the Chili Bowl Nationals final. However, he pulled out at the last minute because he had to leave early as the weather was not favorable. Although he promised to return next year for the Chili Bowl, Stenhouse Jr is not letting him live it down.
Hope you stay all weekend to be the Grand Marshall we missed you @cbnationals 🤣🤣🤣 #weatherproblems https://t.co/EYtrdbjKjU

The new NASCAR Cup season is almost here, and the fans are anxiously waiting to hear the familiar roar once again. Of course, the LA Coliseum Clash race is a non point-scoring event. However, that race will pretty much serve as a preview for what to expect from the new season. After the Clash at the Coliseum, the paddock heads to the Daytona International Speedway for the Daytona 500. That is when the real 2022 Cup Series campaign will begin.
