“To the fans. WOW. It’s the hardest not being able to be there and see the people who have rallied around me and made me feel the love in that building. I made this post for you guys(…) Racing is about having all your heart in something. My heart is in my wing sprint car right now. I have goals that I can’t leave this sport without achieving. I’ll never roll onto that track in Tulsa and cheat my fans from getting 100% of my heart when I race there.”

Abreu and Warner together act as a winning formula
To climb the success ladder in motorsports, the most essential role is played by a racer’s crew chief. Without a doubt, Rico Abreu is a talented and competitive individual, and channeling his skills perfectly through the machine on racetracks can only be done by a crew chief like Ricky Warner. Ever since collaborating in 2022, both are in tune with each other, and the success stories kept were the result of their chemistry.
In an interview, Abreu was quick to credit Warner and his critical thinking abilities. “Ricky has a really good eye of seeing the balance of the race car, where if I’m off a little bit on my communication side of setup to where I think we need to be. I think he just has a great system and gets along with everybody, which is a huge plus for the team. He’s just a good balance. I think he gets our car really close, but where he really excels is he keeps my confidence up as a race car driver. Confidence is so key in our sport.”
