“It’s a big gamble, as I like to call it. It’s a watershed moment for me in the sense of taking on a larger role and responsibility than I ever have. It’ll be a year of pursuing self-growth accordingly. I feel really good about it.” Brad Keselowski’s words as he moved from driver with Team Penske to driver and co-owner with RFK Racing showed excitement and nervousness in a time of uncertainty. Jack Roush’s team was in shambles when the 2012 Cup Series Champion took over as co-owner in 2022. It had lost its glory days when drivers like Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth brought multiple wins. At this time, Solomon Plumbing stepped in to sponsor the team for the Bristol Dirt Race. The announcement, which came on April 5, 2022, was just the start of a partnership that continued and remains intact. Even now…
Daniel Allor II’s Solomon Plumbing’s green and white branding wasn’t just about visibility; it marked the beginning of a meaningful alliance as the Michigan-based company quickly became a visible part of the No. 6 Ford Mustang. Allor II and Solomon Plumbing came back in 2023 and 2024 as well. For 2025, Solomon Plumbing announced their return and even an expansion with Ryan Preece’s No.60 joining the usual No.6. 2024 was special as it featured Solomon Plumbing playing a part in the Tribute to Veterans Program at Darlington. Co-owner Allor II said,
“Given our now multi-year relationship now with RFK and Brad Keselowski, we’re honored to play a role in the Tribute to Veterans program, an initiative we know Brad and his Checkered Flag Foundation make a priority each year. Honoring veterans is something very near and dear to us here at Solomon, and we take great pride in sharing in this campaign alongside RFK, Brad and his foundation.”

These moves showcased support for NASCAR, a fellow Michigan native, and US veterans by Allor II, who breathed his last just days away from his 57th birthday on May 6. A few days ago, RFK Racing released a solemn statement and a special tribute scheduled for the upcoming Cup Series race:
“RFK Racing is heartbroken by the loss of Danny Allor II. Danny was more than just a partner of RFK, he was a close personal friend to so many of our team members. Although we are devastated by his passing, we are blessed to have had Danny as part of our family. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones and everyone at Solomon Plumbing,” the team wrote in a message on Instagram. The team continued in its post: “We will honor Danny this weekend with a special decal that will ride on the 6, 17, and 60 car.”Danny Allor II’s presence in NASCAR may have been limited, but he left a mark with his magnetic personality, which his obituary mentioned.
“Danny was known for his generosity, strong work ethic, and entrepreneurial spirit. He proudly owned and operated his own plumbing company, Solomon Plumbing. A proud alumnus of Brother Rice High School, Danny enjoyed listening to country music, sponsoring NASCAR, and spending time outdoors, especially hunting with his family and the grand-dogs, Remi, Huk, and Archie.” To honor his contributions as a friend and sponsor, RFK Racing‘s No. 6 Ford will sport a special decal at Texas, featuring Brad Keselowski hugging Danny Allmendinger and his wife, in the car’s signature green colors.
“Heartbreaking.” One word and an emoji summed up Brad Keselowski’s emotions. The 2012 Cup Series Champion did touch on the Mike Chase news from last week, but this one would have hit closer to home as Allor II was one of his earliest supporters with RFK Racing.

What’s your perspective on:
Can RFK Racing bounce back stronger after the loss of their beloved sponsor, Danny Allor II?
Have an interesting take?
Interesting fact: Daniel Allor II was born in the very year Goodyear trounced Firestone 39-7 in NASCAR wins. In retrospect, that season went down as a landmark year in NASCAR’s “tire wars.” Has the Solomon Plumbing co-owner done something, or been part of something, that could be looked at as a landmark event in the eyes of the next generation? Perhaps through doing his bit to help restore a team’s lost glory by sponsoring Keselowski in 2022? Time will tell. For now, though, there’s just condolences and gratitude.
In Allor’s obituary by Borek Jennings Funeral Homes, there was a comforting flower basket by YOUR 6 PIT CREW with the message, “Love you Danny! We will always cherish your support and love for the crew! 6NEVERQUITS John 14:2-3…..YOUR 6 PIT CREW.”
Allor II’s family scheduled his mass on April 30, 2025, at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Brighton, Michigan. This heartbreaking loss has left RFK Racing a little lighter. It has also left a horde of NASCAR fans dealing with the grief.
NASCAR community pours its condolences
Danny Allor II helped restore RFK Racing’s splendor. Brad Keselowski snapped a 110-race winless streak in the 2024 Darlington race in his No. 6 Ford. So one fan quoted an inspiring line from Keselowski’s late sponsor: “6 never quits.”

So one fan hailed the bygone veteran’s efforts: “A man that redefined what it means to be a sponsor in the current era of nascar. He was a true fan, and put his heart and soul into the team. A true testament that the American dream is alive and well if you work hard and do right by people. Can’t wait to see his face in victory lane 🏁”
Other people expressed their heartbroken feelings about losing such a gem. One fan wrote a reverent message: “RIP 🙏🙏🙏” Allor II is survived by his spouse Danielle, who was his high school sweetheart whom he married on February 10, 1990, in Highland, Michigan, five children, and parents Daniel and Linda. So, another fan kept his family in their prayers, wishing that they would get over these hard times. “Sorry for you loss and his families. Prayers.😔🙏”
Fans were also impressed by RFK Racing’s tribute on Instagram. The specially made decal for the team’s outing at Texas Motor Speedway also caught their attention. The informal vibes of the picture demonstrate how close Brad Keselowski was to the late sponsor, and one fan loved that. They wrote, “What a beautiful tribute. He was one of a kind and will be missed by so many. He’s yelling from heaven now “6 Never Quits.” Brad Keselowski himself entered the comments with a single emoji. It was enough to show his feelings: “💔”
