While the old saying ‘out of sight, out of mind’ usually hits the nail on the head, with NASCAR, one can always expect the unexpected. NASCAR’s game plan of having drivers rub elbows on the track with their playoff counterparts isn’t just about the thrill of the chase. It’s a masterstroke, allowing them to size up the competition and gear up for the next curveball, all while boosting their teammates over the finish line.

And, as they say, it’s not all business; there’s plenty of play. On the track, drivers might lock horns, jostling for that coveted spot. But once they hang up their helmets, it’s a whole different ballgame. They let their hair down and reveled in camaraderie, much to the delight of their fans. Take, for instance, Ross Chastain’s confidante, who, despite having his playoff dreams dashed, is raring to go for the next race, fueled by some off-track bonding.

Ross Chastain and #99 Chevy might be revved up for some off-track shenanigans

Sure, the on-track whirlwind is enough to leave any NASCAR driver burning the midnight oil, but it seems our Trackhouse Racing pair has a penchant for the fast lane, come rain or shine. Yet, with their recent track record not setting the world on fire (barring Chastain’s impressive P5 finish at Darlington), a pit stop was in order.

In a playful nod to their escapades, Daniel Suarez, riding shotgun with Chastain since his own playoff exit, took to social media. Sharing a snap of a slumbering Chastain, he quipped, “My amigo @RossChastain doesn’t look ready for a mountain bike ride.. 😴 😆.”

Clearly, their mountain adventure was on the cards, but Chastain hit the brakes, catching forty winks instead. Not one to be left in the dust, Chastain shot back with a retweet, declaring, “I am awake now.

Interestingly, even with Suarez out of the title chase, it seems he’s still very much in the spotlight, with big players like Kubota Tractor Corporation keeping a keen eye on him.

Sporting a fresh coat of orange, Daniel Suárez’s No. 99 will join the Kubota ranks

In a fresh twist, Daniel Suárez’s No. 99 Chevrolet will sport the vibrant orange hues of the Kubota Tractor Corporation. The new revved-up look will hit the asphalt at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth for the 500-mile Sunday showdown, with Suárez at the helm of the Kubota Chevy.

Wearing its marketer and distributor hat, Kubota powers through with an impressive lineup ranging from utility vehicles, garden essentials, and construction machinery to high-horsepower tractors.

As the grapevine (or rather, Grapevine, Texas) would have it, both Ross Chastain and Daniel Suárez are set to showcase this eye-catching livery in a total of 7 races for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season. Chastain, already familiar with the orange, has revved up with the Kubota colors five times this year, with another outing slated for Oct. 22 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Jumping into this vibrant partnership, Suárez exclaimed, “I feel like I am joining a new family.” Reflecting on his groundbreaking achievements as the pioneering Mexican driver to clinch a NASCAR Xfinity championship and a Cup race, he added, “Ross has told me so many good things about Kubota and their equipment, so I’m looking forward to joining him in Kubota Country.”
