What is the CARS Tour? Will it rival NASCAR?
The league started off in 2014 featuring late-model stock cars and pro-late-model cars. Founded by Jack McNelly and Keeley Dubensky, the series still has the duo functioning as the brain while the ownership has been bought by Dale Jr and his circle, including Kevin Harvick, Jeff Burton, and founder/owner of Trackhouse Racing, Justin Marks.
Recently, NASCAR veteran and dirt racing expert, Kenny Wallace’s announcement of joining the series’ race on the 27th has caught fans’ attention. Despite the league being fairly new, it is certainly steadily increasing its audience day by day. While NASCAR seems to stray away from the traditional values that made it the giant, Dale Jr’s promotion brings the grass root nature of stock car racing in a short format.

Despite taking over the ownership, the group has only concentrated on promoting the series. Now with 4 ardent drivers joining the promotion, old-school fans are certainly in for a treat. Will it rival NASCAR? We still don’t know the answer, but the take here is, the majority of the fans that tune into such events also tend to be hardcore NASCAR fans. Now, with that being said, NASCAR still is the undisputed leader in stock car racing.
