At this point, one cannot help but wonder if Ross Chastain can go a single race without colliding with a driver.

Bubba Wallace’s spotter, Freddie Kraft, certainly seems to think that way.

Earlier, Chastain tangled with Christopher Bell and resulting in Bell hitting the outside wall. The likes of Brett Griffin believed that the Joe Gibbs Racing driver was at fault and it ruined Trackhouse Racing’s race.

However, Kraft said, “I think we have to look, and we’ve talked about it with Ross before, it’s situational awareness and there was none right there.”

“That was a terrible job on Ross’ part. Whoever’s fault the accident was, we’ve seen guys do it before and I think Ross did hang a left in his right rear because he thought he was going to be squeezed in the fence.”

“It’s like, ‘You’re not wrecking me, I’m getting you and I’m going to keep my car clean’.”

“The only thing you can’t have there, if you’re Ross Chastain, is a caution flag. Because when you have a caution flag right there, your race is over.”

NASCAR fans did not agree with Kraft’s take on Ross Chastain

However, there were a fair number of fans who did not agree with Kraft’s criticisms.

One comment read, “That was by no means Ross’s fault. Freddie tripping,” and another said, “Freddie be bias.”

Another NASCAR fan said, “Ross didn’t do nothing wrong he was in the preferred lane he had fresh tires. Bell made a rookie move. Ross isn’t the one to blame this time.”

Meanwhile, another joked, “As you have said, the Ross Chastain I don’t give a f*** tour continues.”

In the end, Chastain could only muster a lowly 24th place at the Michigan International Speedway. Meanwhile, Christopher Bell ended up being classified in 26th place and out of the race.

Now, the paddock is at the Richmond Raceway with three races remaining in the regular season. The competition is really heating up because there are three races left and there is just one Playoff spot remaining.
