Ross Chastain’s witty comeback to Tyler Reddick’s inquiry

During a press conference involving Chastain, Reddick asked, “I was gonna ask what are your thoughts on your memes on Twitter this week. Have you enjoyed them as much as me?”

Without missing a beat, Chastain replied, “Which one’s your burner account you are posting on?” Reddick then clarified, “No. I’ve just purely been a spectator.”

What caused Ross Chastain to become the face of all the memes lately?

During the race at Richmond, Chastain had become a mute spectator while Christopher Bell took out William Byron. However, as with anything involving Chastain within a 100-mile radius, the blame for wrecking Byron fell on the melon man.

Bell had gone on to call Chastain a “wrecking ball.” But after he saw the tapes and realized that Chastain had nothing to do with the incident, he retracted his statement. By then the Twitter meme boat had, however, sailed. Over the past week, we came across several memes involving Chastain. There were even pictures of old wrecks and people mentioning that Chastain did it.

Albeit, they were all humorous at best. At one point even Chastain’s own team posted a photo on Instagram with the caption saying “Of course, it’s raining at Bristol, #ThanksRoss, basically denoting that no matter what happens, people always blame the hail melon man for it.
