Recently, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin spoke to Danica Patrick on her podcast. Among other subjects, she talked about her rivalries with other drivers, including Hamlin himself. Another driver whom they mentioned was none other than Team Penske’s Joey Logano. This was because the #22 driver had a bit of a reputation for being aggressive on the track.

Patrick called Logano a “jacka**” and a “little punk”, as he had often wrecked her many times. She admitted that he was another driver who she was not particularly fond of. In fact, she detested him more that she disliked Denny Hamlin. However, a number of fans did not appreciate her comments against Logano and made their displeasure known.

How did fans react to Danica Patrick’s comments on Joey Logano?

A lot of people called Danica Patrick out for her comments, and talked about their different career trajectories. They declared that she much more time in the infield care centre or ‘throwing tantrums’, compared to winning races. Others said that she had a hard time taking responsibility for some wrecks. In fact, they admitted that she used to blame other drivers for mistakes, and she was in top-notch equipment.

Few other fans defended Logano, suggesting that he often got picked on, early in his career. That was a possible explanation why he was more aggressive, because he decided to fight back. Some people even predicted that the likes of William Byron could potentially end up like that. Others believed that he could soon be a Hall of Famer, while she could end up as a NASCAR flop.

Critics of Patrick simply had to point out that Joey Logano is the 2018 Cup Series champion. In the meantime, she does not have a single win in the NASCAR Cup Series. Few people even guessed that she could still be holding a grudge over the few times that Logano wrecked her.
