SHOCKING: IndyCar Staff Member Posts Message Attacking NASCAR Flag Ban

Recently, NASCAR announced the ban on ‘Confederate Flags’ in their race venue. The ban has received massive support across the country but not everyone seems to be on their side.
After, NASCAR announced the ban a lot of people have criticized their move calling it ‘a move to please the majority’. Similarly, an IndyCar flagman named Brad Hockaday posted a message on Facebook saying that he was against NASCAR’s decision to ban the Confederate flags from its events. However, he has since deleted the said Facebook post.
After his post went viral on social media, IndyCar decided to fire him from his position for violating IndyCar’s social media policy. This was confirmed by a company spokeswoman to NBC News on Friday. He was a part-time IndyCar flagman for the past few years. And was supposed to be attending the next IndyCar races.

IndyCar Flagman criticizes the series in a Facebook post
In his Facebook post, Brad Hockaday wrote, “Do these dips**** even understand what that flag stands for. I have lost all respect for NASCAR. I will no longer be supporting their sanction body.”
After that, he talked about NASCAR’s decision to let team members to kneel in protest during the National Anthem. He said, “Now is the time for short tracks around the country to pull their NASCAR sanctions for their recent actions towards America. I would not want to be affiliated with a group that doesn’t respect what the American flag stands for”

The series’s decision to ban the confederate flag after Bubba Wallace’s call marks a new era in NASCAR’s history. Earlier, the series used to keep its distance from the topic. But after many drivers came out in support of the ongoing protests against racial discrimination, the series came out and gave a strong statement against discrimination.
After that, NASCAR made the historical decision to ban the flag from its venues. And the decision has garnered a lot of support for the series.
