The back-and-forth between Kyle Larson and Clint Bowyer has been the talk of the town for a bit now. Larson does his talking on the track, while Bowyer, from the comfort of the commentary booth, never misses a chance to throw in his two cents. But this latest exchange? It had NASCAR fans all fired up, tipping their hats to Larson for dishing out a comeback that even the seasoned vet Bowyer couldn’t ignore.

Kyle Larson had the perfect comeback ready for Clint Bowyer’s cheeky comment about teammates passing during the Las Vegas race

Before the green flag dropped, Bowyer hit Larson with a playful jab over the radio, asking, “How about your teammate there getting on the outside of you and passing by the eight cars down there three and four pretty cool huh?”

Larson, quick on his feet and with a chuckle, fired back, “Yeah I remember doing that a time or three to you… I am trying to do a better job.” The booth, filled with Kevin Harvick, Mike Joy, and Bowyer, burst into laughter, clearly not expecting such a witty response from the usually reserved Larson.

In fact, later on, he added to it with a tweet, “Hang around @ClintBowyer enough some of his wit rubbed off on me I guess 😉.” The exchange simply added to the friendly banter history between Larson and Bowyer, reminiscent of the playful digs between Kyle Busch and Joey Logano.

A testament to that- Back in 2022, during an interview with The Athletic, Kyle Larson, the 2021 Cup Series champ, didn’t shy away from pointing out Clint Bowyer’s habit of interrupting people mid-sentence during conversations. Larson light-heartedly said, “You’ll be like mid-conversation with Clint, and he’s just gone. It’s like, ‘I guess we’re over.’ It’s sometimes rude, but it’s just Clint. I feel like that’s the best way to get out of it, but I try to at least just say, ‘Alright, see you later’ and then start walking.”

Then, remember their epic back-and-forth during the 2024 Super Bowl? Larson was all about his San Francisco 49ers, while Bowyer was cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. Their banter wasn’t limited to just group texts; it spilled over to social media, where they went at it just as fiercely as they would on the track.

But the latest zinger from Larson, though, really got the NASCAR crowd buzzing. Fans loved seeing Larson serve Bowyer a taste of his own medicine with a clever comeback, proving the racing rivalry has plenty of playful fuel left.

Happy fans appreciate the witty side of the 2021 Cup Champion
