“Take My Money” – Dale Earnhardt Jr Sets Tails Wagging With Exciting Proposition on NASCAR Milestone Anniversary

NASCAR video games have come a long way since their early days in the 90s. We have seen massive improvements in graphics over the years. However, despite the modern age, the latest iterations of the official game have been anything but good. One of the best NASCAR games to stand out was the 2002 NASCAR Dirt to Daytona, and recently, Dale Earnhardt Jr was seen proposing to create an all-new iteration of the 20-year-old game.

Earnhardt Tweeted, What do ya say? Is it time for another Dirt to Daytona career console game? I think I know who should do this.

Junior’s response was to a Tweet by the Executive Vice President of iRacing, Steve Myers, in which Myers had stated, Crazy to think this is the 20th anniversary of this game, and next year the same for NR2003. Would the community support a new console Dirt to Daytona game?

Fans were left in a frenzy at the idea, especially since the latest iteration of NASCAR Ignition was so horrid and rigged with game-breaking bugs to derive any sense of enjoyment.

If they go through with this idea, fans would finally have a decent enough game to play on NASCAR. However, if they bring it into a sim racing environment, it might turn away the majority of the fan base, since most people would prefer to have a sim-cade or a semi-arcade format to make sure everyone is able to play with ease.

It is quite strange that NASCAR themselves could not sell their official licenses to a noteworthy studio, that could actually deliver something and not just sit around like a money grab selling DLCs of features which should have actually made it into the game as standard. A properly made and licensed video game would be a massive marketing boost to draw interest in the sport, especially, when it needs a new younger demographic.
