Across every sporting community, there are always people who are going to hate you. That is just how the world works. There are some haters and there are some supporters. However, looks like veteran NASCAR Cup Series driver, Denny Hamlin, has lost his patience with his haters. Recently, during his podcast, the JGR driver and 23XI Racing team co-owner lashed out at a fan comment. He proceeded to compare that person to the whining of his three-year-old child.
Hamlin’s co-host read out a tweet that was targeted against Hamlin. He said, “the next one up for retirement, except no one will be cheering other than getting him off the racetrack.”

Hamlin then answered, “I mean, for him to put the time and effort into that tweet. Clearly. I mean, I’m definitely of the opinion that haters are just liars that have lost their way. And that fella has lost his way… I can hear whining whenever I want for my three-year-old. There’s no need to hear more on the podcast.”
A Denny Hamlin hater once tried to fight him
Back in 2017, in a rare and unprecedented occurrence, a fanatical admirer of Chase Elliott stormed into the pit area in a fit of rage directed at Denny Hamlin.

The scene was awkward as Hamlin watched in disbelief as the Elliott fan created a disturbance and vociferously confronted him. The incident took place at the Martinsville Speedway after Hamlin infamously wrecked Elliott. Furthermore, robbing the Hendrick Motorsports driver’s chance of a victory.
The Elliott supporter was livid about the outcome, getting perilously close to the Joe Gibbs Racing driver. However, Denny’s crew and some officials stepped in, preventing the situation from escalating.

However, as the fan was being escorted out, he hurled the insult, “a dirty veteran,” towards Hamlin, leaving the driver looking crestfallen. It has been quite some time since that incident. But it’s not uncommon for tempers to flare among NASCAR fans when something happens to their favorite driver. The intense passion and loyalty they have towards their drivers can quickly boil over when they perceive a wrong to have been done.
