In a recent chat with NASCAR reporters, Blaney spilled the beans about his post-banquet bash and he had some pretty interesting choices when it came to artists he’d like to see at the celebration. The champion hoped to see two iconic stars grace the event, one of whom included the iconic rapper Snoop Dogg.

Ryan Blaney weighs in on his celebration options

Apparently, when it has comes to throwing his post-banquet shindig, Ryan Blaney is caught in a bit of a dilemma. Initially, he toyed with the idea of having a friend’s band play – who, according to Blaney, are great at cover songs. But then again, he wants his buddies there to party, not work. So now, he’s flipping through his contacts, scouting for the perfect mix of rappers and singers to light up his party.

He shared, “I’m currently going through the list of guys I know that live in Nashville and I could play or like cover bands. So that’s been a little bit of a process because I’m in a, like, in between a rock and a hard place. I want my, one of my buddies to play because they would be fantastic, but I want them celebrating with me also. So, I don’t want you to have to work while like, ‘You’re my friend and I’m celebrating’. So, I might just get like a good cover band or something. I can play everything and then just have some, like, other artists there.”

On being asked who he’d be thrilled to see take the stage at his party in a hypothetical situation, Blaney didn’t hold back as he mentioned Snoop Dogg and none other than best-selling artist Shania Twain. “If you had Snoop, like, open, oh my god, it would be amazing. […] If Shania Twain walked out like that’d be sick,” Blaney said.

So now, NASCAR fans have a little insider info on Ryan Blaney’s music taste. And speaking of Blaney, post-championship, he’s been the picture of calm and good vibes. Quite a contrast to that heated moment behind Ross Chastain, where he let a middle finger do the talking. Blaney’s since owned up to that, admitting he’s a tad red-faced about the whole thing.

As the finish line drew near, Blaney’s fuse kept getting shorter. He was steamed up about Ross Chastain playing the roadblock, thwarting his attempts to overtake. And though his eyes weren’t set on Chastain clinching the win, his main worry was Kyle Larson, who was hot on his heels.

Reflecting on this later in a post-race interview, as per Yahoo! Sport, Blaney acknowledged he’s cut from the same cloth as his dad when it comes to temperament. “Am I ashamed of it? Yes. I hate that people caught that. Sometimes I have a short temper and it sort of bursts in the car […] He [Blaney’s father] and I are very close in terms of our personalities. We are pretty quiet guys most of the time, but we’re fiery about what we do. When you’re passionate about what you love, sometimes that boils over.”
