The NASCAR Cup Series race has just concluded, but for Chase Briscoe, he was already in a race before it began. Apparently, the #14 driver had issues actually getting to the track itself due to problems with the plane. Briscoe was forced to fly on a commercial airline since the team planes had left already. As per his testimony, he boarded the plane, but it got delayed because the aircraft hit a bird. To make matters worse, the computer system malfunctioned, so he and his fellow passengers had to go back to the gate.

Briscoe even beseeched with American Airlines to ask whether he could get off the plane. This was because he wanted to make it in time for the 9:00 AM flight. It is also worth mentioning that fellow driver Timmy Hill sympathized with him. Hill revealed that on one occasion his entire team missed a race owing to a 14-hour maintenance delay.
