Ahead of the 2020 NASCAR playoffs, Joey Logano spoke to Sirius XM NASCAR Radio to preview the events. He confessed that he relished these kind of moments where he can find another level within himself. According to him, “These are the moments where you’re forced to get better. You’re backed up against the wall sometime during these playoffs.”

This is why he believes that such moments toughen up drivers and pushes them to do almost impossible things. At the end of the day, this only serves to make the drivers much stronger than before.

Speaking about the upcoming playoffs, He said, “I really feel like we’re kind of 2018 mode, where it worked out well and we won the championship. But I feel like throughout. the year, we’ve kind of had a bit of a wall, we weren’t able to get that much.”

What else did Joey Logano say?

The #22 driver noted that the key to winning the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series is consistency. Luckily for him, he has been quite consistent in the past few races. On the other end of the scale, he insisted that he and the team need to find a bit more speed.

This will be crucial, especially if he wants to keep up with Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick. For the moment, he occupies 5th place in the standings. In spite of this, he does not think that he is one of the favourites. On the other hand, he knows that if he is consistent enough, he can boost his chances of vaulting up the order.

Logano will be aiming for redemption, after he triggered a massive crash last weekend. In the process, he did not make very good friends with Bubba Wallace, Ricky Stenhouse Jr and several other drivers. This time, he will be hoping to stay out of harm’s way and avoid any unnecessary incidents.
