Imagine being in your first season in the NASCAR Cup Series and being called a faster team than Hendrick Motorsports. That’s what the Trackhouse Racing team has done.

Yes, the new team has won three races this season, two wins less than HMS, but it’s their speed and consistency that has earned them the title of being better than Rick Hendrick’s team.

This title was bestowed on Pitbull and Justin Marks’ team by Bubba Wallace’s spotter, Freddie Kraft.

“They (Trackhouse Racing) are consistently better than Hendrick, like weekly. When we’re coming to the season, if you’re talking about like who’s gonna be the best Chevy team, there’s no doubt in my mind that it’s Hendrick,” he said in a recent episode of the Door Bumper Clear podcast.

“But they outrun Hendrick every week, it seems like now.”

Kraft then claimed that the two best Chevy cars in the Cup Series in terms of being fast and being consistent are the #1 of Ross Chastain and the #8 of Tyler Reddick.

As for the quadrant of HMS and especially the star duo of Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott, the spotter said, “The Hendrick cars, you know, they pop in and pop out depending on the racetrack.”

Hendrick Motorsports are in its best phase ever, according to Mr. H

During the Dover Victory Bell celebration, Rick Hendrick, the founder of Hendrick Motorsports, claimed that the current phase of the organization is the best they’ve ever had. That’s saying something, as HMS has had drivers like Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Kyle Busch, and more.

“We’ve got the best lineup of drivers and crew chiefs we ever had. I think across the board when you look at the results from last year, two years back-to-back champions,” Hendrick said.

Jeff Gordon, the former driver and the current Vice Chairman of HMS, also spoke about the present state of the race team.

“We have great leadership, we have great support but it’s everybody here that has made this company grow to the level that it has,” Gordon said.

“There’s no other organization that does it like Hendrick Motorsports.”
