Diving into the pit lane details: Motorsport Games, the minds behind the recent yet controversial “NASCAR 21: Ignition,” has handed over the simulation-style console rights baton to iRacing. This transfer has left many reflecting on the legacy of NASCAR games, from the golden era of EA Sports to the more recent endeavors by Motorsport Games.

A NASCAR enthusiast stated, “NASCAR has sold their console game license to iRacing. They released this short teaser video describing their new project as quote, “a brand new NASCAR simulation style console game coming in 2025 with everything you’ve been asking for”. “NASCAR has not had a new cross-platform console game release since the end of 2021 with NASCAR 21: Ignition. We don’t speak of ignition nowadays, especially not on such a bright day for NASCAR console gaming such as this one. I’ve said this before, but without NASCAR Thunder 2004, I’d probably never become a big NASCAR fan.”

Growing up, the roars of engines and the thrill of speed were just as enthralling to me as the serene calmness and challenge of mountains. Just as Chase Elliott weaves his way through the asphalt tracks, I've found my way through some of the most challenging trekking trails, with each step taken in sync with my heartbeats resonating with the excitement of a racecar on the track. It's no wonder why I am a die-hard fan of both Chase Elliott and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Their tenacity, dedication, and sheer brilliance on the track mirror the elements I love about trekking - the dedication to push further, the challenge of the unknown, and the thrill of reaching new heights. I've climbed peaks and witnessed breathtaking vistas, and at the same time, I've written articles that garnered admiration from fellow racing enthusiasts.
