With close to two weeks left for the much-awaited season opener, the Clash at the Coliseum, NASCAR is getting fans in the mood. Recently, they posted a hyper-lapse video of the track that is nearly finished.

Looking at how the event is filled up with pre-race and half-time headlining concerts, the high hopes NASCAR has for this event cannot be overstated.

Despite all of this, one fundamental thing which could make or break the appeal of the event is the track. Because the main attraction of the event will take place on the track and not in the advertising or the shows.

It’s a race, after all.

And upon looking at the recent hyper-lapse of what is a really short track, many fans were left with a sour taste in their mouth.

The Clash at the Coliseum undoubtedly promises a big even carrying exciting racing. But it also suggests a lot of wrecks considering the dimensions of the track.
