Tony Stewart has arguably been regarded as one of the greatest American racing drivers, that has ever graced the sport. Right up there along with the likes of Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Sr. However, this one time, during a talk show interview, Stewart was asked if he was a good passenger seat guy.

Stewart was asked, “How are you as a passenger seat guy? So somebody else is driving you, how are you?”

To which he responded, “I can tell you just from the fiancee alone I’m a terrible passenger because I literally feel like I’m taking my life into my own hands every time she drives the car. I’ve just learned if I can find just something to look at on my phone and not see the accident that’s coming up be a lot easier for me.”

Then fiancee now wife, Leah Pruett is the lady in Stewart’s life. Who is she? Well, she happens to be an NHRA drag racer. Sounds cool right?

The racer couple got engaged back in March 2021 and then proceeded to take their vows around eight months later. This year onwards, Pruett started racing for her husband’s Top fuel dragster, racing team.

She is not new to the world of NHRA in fact she is currently in her 26th season, with several wins and championships to her name. It certainly is wonderful to see the pair, both of whom are successful racing drivers in their respective sports. But now being married, they will have to find time between their jampacked racing careers and their personal lives.
