Tony Stewart has been an American Racing Icon, participating in various formats of racing and excelling at nearly everything he touches. However, since racing does not come cheap, there was a time when Stewart confessed that he was ready to take up any odd job in order to fund his racing career.

During an interview, The host asked, “You would do anything to race?” Stewart replied, “Yeah, absolutely.”

The host continued, “But at that time you still did not have money.” Then Stewart said, “Nah, working every crap job you can imagine. I mean I worked at a ski resort in the summer, that had go-karts in and out. I know it, I have to really quickly go, they have go-karts in an alpine slide but umm, it was, I mean you worked really bad jobs. I sealed parking lots in the middle of the night. I drove a wrecker for a buddy of mine that had a couple tow trucks.”

The host then asked, “How do you keep the dream alive here?” Tony answered, “Just keep going. I mean it’s literally just, you literally, whatever money you had was spent to do what you were doing.”

When asked if Stewart had a plan B, Stewart promptly replied, “No. Thank God.” Right after he was asked where he would have been without racing. Stewart said, “I have no clue. I honestly have no clue.” He also mentioned that he had no other talents aside from racing.

What does Tony Stewart do now?

Following his NASCAR career, the versatile Stewart got his hands into several other racing formats, including midgets, IndyCar, and even the NHRA with his wife.

Stewart currently co-owns the brand-new American racing series called the “Superstar Series.” Which involves spec-built cars that provide a fairground for racing talents instead of a focus on the machinery. The races take mostly on short tracks, some of which are dirt tracks while others are asphalt.

Aside from this Stewart is currently preparing to make his debut in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. A series in which his wife has also been highly successful.
