Toyotas Haul A**” – Bubba Wallace Insider Warns Chase Elliott as He Defends NASCAR Championship 4 Selection

Even though we’re only heading into the Round of 8 this weekend at Las Vegas, the speculations for the final 4 are well underway. Chase Elliott is obviously for most, one of the most ‘no-nonsense’ picks, but the other three?

Well, the answer to that question varies depending on who you ask, but if Bubba Wallace’s spotter, Freddie Kraft is to be believed, there are a couple of surprises in his prediction for the last 4.

“Chase Elliott’s in obviously,” he said in a recent episode of the Door Bumper Clear podcast. “I’m gonna pick my boss (Denny Hamlin), because if not, he might not sign my contract. I think Joey Logano gets in.”

“I think Joey can sneak up on some people, and you don’t really hear a lot of him, and he just points his way into races and finishes well,” he continued. “My fourth guy.. I’ll take, this is a little different…Christopher Bell.”

“Now, Christopher is an edgy guy because he makes mistakes. But if he doesn’t make mistakes, he’s got the speed to get there, so just gotta clean the mistakes up and he can get there.”

This led to his fellow spotter, Brett Griffin, reaffirming the diverse set of cars in Kraft’s prediction of Toyota supremacy.

“The Toyotas haul a** on a mile and a half, just for the record,” Kraft emphasized.

Chase Elliott understands the roller coaster aspect of NASCAR

In his post-race interview after he took the checkered flag at Talladega a couple of weeks ago, Chase Elliott opened up on the sea-saw, rollercoaster aspect of NASCAR racing, something he has become pretty comfortable with now.

“I feel like I’ve been doing this long enough now to understand the roller coaster that is racing,” Elliott said. “It’s going to roll on, right? You either learn to ride it during the good days, during the bad days, too, or you don’t.”

“That’s just part of the deal.”

The 2020 Cup Series champion described how he is trying to “ride the wave.” The question is now, will he be able to ride it all the way to his second Cup title in Phoenix?
