A visibly excited Pastrana mentioned in the post that he received a call from Niece Motorsports Team Manager, Cody Efaw, for last-minute participation in Saturday’s race. The two have worked together in the past.

“I don’t know why (Efaw called). I wasn’t very good at turning left, but I’m going to pull the old NASCAR helmet off the wall,” Pastrana jokingly added.
