Tricon Garage Recruits Former IMSA Champ for Two NCTS Races

The former IMSA driver and 2018 LMP3 Prototype Challenge champion Kris Wright will be handling the wheel of the #1 truck for Tricon Garage. Previously with Young Motorsports, the driver ran only 11 races in the 2023 Truck Series season before parting ways in May. 

Hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, Wright will challenge for CTS glory in two races this season–The SpeedyCash.com 250 at Texas Motor Speedway on April 12 and the CRC Brakleen 150 at Pocono Raceway. NASCAR correspondent for FOX, Bob Pockrass, shared the latest update on Tricon garage’s situation regarding their fifth truck on Twitter.

Taking a pause from Richmond this race week, in the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season, 6 drivers have been announced now for Tricon’s #1 Chevy Silverado. Another IMSA stalwart and road course specialist, Jack Hawksworth was the latest to take the #1 for a spin at COTA where he finished just outside the top-5 at a decent P6. It is important to note that Tricon’s #11 truck with Corey Heim claimed victory in this Austin road race. The latest developments are soon to unfold.
