It is common for NASCAR fans to slam Kyle Busch and his ‘Rowdy’ actions on track, as well as off track. However, the Texas Motor Speedway race on Sunday highlighted a side of Ty Gibbs that fans could not believe.

During the race, Ty Gibbs and Ty Dillon traded paint. Although this is not uncommon at NASCAR races, this particular incident could have been a dangerous one. In a short clip shared by a NASCAR fan on Twitter, Ty Dillon can be seen making contact with Gibbs.

After getting back on track from his pit, Dillon lost control and rammed his car into Gibbs. But the way Gibbs reacted to this was not only immature but also a reckless act that put a lot of lives in danger. To get back at Dillon, Ty Gibbs made contact with Dillon’s right door and pushed him further to the left on the track.

However, there were a few pit-crew members on Dillon’s left and this door bang retaliation put all of their safety in danger. Although Dillon managed to take control of his car, NASCAR fans could not stop themselves from calling out Gibbs for his immature actions.

Apart from appreciating Ty Dillon for locking his car in time, fans demanded that NASCAR should fine and reprimand Gibbs for his actions on track. Moreover, they questioned why any NASCAR reporter or news did not raise concern over the incident.

Apart from NASCAR Cup Series, Ty Gibbs will also be driving for 23XI Racing in the Xfinity playoffs. After driving at the Texas Motor Speedway, Gibbs drove in the AutoTrader Echo Park Automotive 500. However, since Gibbs is new to the sport, there is an air of scepticism surrounding this decision.

While talking about Gibbs driving for two series simultaneously, Toyota Racing Development’s president, David Wilson shared; “We’re comfortable with Ty running both for the foreseeable future. We still don’t know what Kurt is going to do. To be fair, he left the door open to potentially get back into the car before the end of the season. (Gibbs) is learning a lot.”

Furthermore, Wilson admitted that this decision might be risky as there are chances of hits and injuries on the track. However, he said that Gibbs would not be the only driver who has chosen to drive in two different series simultaneously. Moreover, he said that Toyota and 23XI is working on avoiding situations that might be inherently unsafe for the drivers.
