Jon Jones stretched his absolute domination on Saturday by becoming the Heavyweight Champion during the main event of UFC 285 in Las Vegas. The former two-time Light Heavyweight Champ created history in the first round of the fight against Ciryl Gane. After merely two minutes and four seconds in the Octagon, Jones ended the encounter at the T-Mobile Arena with a guillotine choke. Coincidentally the NASCAR fraternity is also in Las Vegas for the weekend for the third race of the season.

Among the prominent NASCAR personalities who attended the UFC fight on Saturday night were Kevin Harvick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. However, it appears as if a NASCAR driver-owner, who once had Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick fanboying over him, went unrecognized on Jon Jones’ championship-winning night, leaving the fans in splits.

Kevin Harvick marked his attendance in front of the camera at UFC 285. However, NASCAR star BJ Mcleod was also present during the fight and was spotted diagonally behind the 2014 Cup Series champ. Fans quickly caught on to BJ Mcleod’s missing-the-spotlight moment during the mixed martial arts event.

The hilarious joke about BJ Mcleod going unrecognized during the UFC event drew some riotous responses from the fans. Cameron Richardson, who had originally posted the pictures of Harvick and Stenhouse Jr at the event, wrote, “I’m ashamed for not noticing.”

One user took a dig at BJ Mcleod by comparing him being in the background with his performance on the tracks.

Here are some other reactions from the fans.

Some of the fans even commented on his choice of apparel.

Despite being a part of NASCAR as a part-time driver and a team owner for a long time, and getting praised by Busch and Harvick, BJ Mcleod going unspotted was quite funny to the fans.

Kyle Busch showered BJ Mcleod with praises

BJ Mcleod had been been a part-time driver in the Cup Series since 2010. He also co-owns the Live Fast Motorsports and competed in his #78 Chevy at the 2023 Daytona 500.

Last year, talking about Mcleod, Kyle Busch had said, “He has this persona, or this look of him, and you’re like, Man, I don’t want to talk to this guy. He’s going to kick my a**.” He added, “But he’s super cool and super chill about the things we talk about.”
