In the NASCAR world, drivers have mixed relationships with the journalists who cover the sport live. Mostly, the on-field reporters in NASCAR are the best in the business and refrain from engaging in unnecessary controversies. One such reporter is Bob Pockrass, who has a good relationship with almost every driver in the sport. From covering the latest updates to having a healthy discussion with drivers regarding various aspects of the racing world, Pockrass does it all.
In rooms full of other interviewers, drivers often tend to give more attention to him. However, things took a different turn for him recently. Following the qualifiers for the upcoming Cup Series race at Martinsville, Bubba Wallace leveled accusations against Pockrass.

When the 23XI No. 23 was disturbed by Bob Pockrass trying to make headlines
During the first stage’s battle for the green and white checkered flag at Richmond, Kyle Larson and Wallace were in a tight contest. Larson, representing Hendrick Motorsports, narrowly secured the lead, while Wallace from 23XI Racing had to wait for another opportunity. That chance arrived with just a few laps left in the race, but Wallace’s car became unstable. This led to him making contact with Larson and causing the latter’s car to spin out. This incident eventually triggered a caution.
Wallace offered an in-person apology to Larson, yet Bob Pockrass, being a seasoned journalist, expressed dissatisfaction with Wallace’s remarks. This accusation caused Wallace to become agitated. “That’s cause you’re saying it. Bob, stop making headlines,” he retorted.
