Over the radio, we could hear Kyle Larson’s spotter say, “If you and Ross can work together here, try to pull away,”

Larson took a dig at Chastain and responded, “Ha, Ross [Chastain] work together with anybody. That’s Funny.”

During the race, the Toyota’s out front had outnumbered and isolated the Chevrolet’s. That is why Larson’s spotter wanted him to work with Chastain, who was a manufacturer teammate.

However, Larson’s comments were not out of the blue, considering Chastain is known to cause wrecks and ruin other drivers’ races.

Even later into the race, Chastain, who was a lap down, managed to bump Christopher Bell into the outside wall, causing the latter’s right front tire to disintegrate upon impact.

Kyle Larson talks about the brutal crash with Ty Dillon at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Back in Indianapolis, Kyle Larson had a freak accident where his car could not brake on time and flew in hard into Ty Dillon at turn one.

That impact rendered both cars out of contention. Moments later, Kyle was seen getting out of his car and running toward Ty Dillon to apologize for the incident and also check up on him if he was okay.

Larson later told the press, “Just made a big mistake. I got in there deep, and I got out of shape.”

“I was hoping that by the time I got it under control, I could go straight before they turned into the corner.”

Larson also mentioned that the incident was really scary for both of them to witness and felt sad about ending his race like this.

Larson took the blame for the incident and was thankful that Dillon was unhurt. Dillon was a little sore the next day but understood that Larson did not do it on purpose, thus he remained calm regardless of his race being thrown into disarray.
