Sometimes, it is good to be a kid again and to just have fun without a care in the world. After a rain shower, it is always tempting for children to look at the leftover puddles and go splashing about in them. So, in the 2016 Cup race at Pocono, one could hardly blame Keelan Harvick’s don for enjoying himself frolicking in the puddles.
His fun was so infectious that even Tony Stewart, Brad Keselowski, and even Kevin Harvick were also dragged into the mix.

Speaking about the adorable moment, Harvick Sr said in an interview, “Sometimes you’re in trouble and sometimes you’re being a kid. Yesterday, he [his son] was just being a kid.”
“You just let him do his thing and let him have fun and that’s part of being at the racetrack. Get wet, dirty and muddy and greasy and all the things that come with that.”
“I don’t know about laying in the puddle, he’s just getting ready for the Olympics. Keselowski doing his best gorilla imitation there, then Smoke [Tony Stewart] being Smoke.”
“I figured I would just jump in the fun, at that point he was all wet, so cold water was a shocker.”

How did Kevin Harvick, Tony Stewart, and the others perform in the race?
This race was one of 2 rounds at Pocono that year and this particular race was held on June 6th. The weekend actually turned out to be a decent one for Keselowski, Harvick, and Stewart, with all three qualifying in the Top 6.
Keselowski was on pole position, ahead of Joey Logano and Matt Kenseth. Harvick was lining up in fourth place, and Stewart was 6th, behind Carl Edwards. As for the main race, it had to be postponed to Monday because of rain.

Of course, the drivers had to do a lot of waiting around on Sunday to see if the conditions improved. Naturally, Kevin Harvick’s son decided to make the most of it and have some fun. Keselowski and Stewart were obviously amused at his antics before they decided to join in.

Harvick had a decent day in the office at Pocono in 2016
When the real race began on Monday, it was a mixed bag for all three drivers. Keselowski led the field before losing out to Logano while heading into Turn 1. Then, disaster struck Harvick when he was hauled up for speeding on pit road, and Keselowski was called into pit. This was because of unapproved body modifications when one crew member accidentally dented in a side panel. The problem was that the dent could have potentially given the car an aerodynamic advantage.
Meanwhile, Tony Stewart had his own problems, as he was involved in a big wreck. It all started when he got loose and clipped teammate Danica Patrick. Stewart then collided with Landon Cassill. In the end, Kurt Busch won the race, ahead of Dale Earnhardt Jr, and Keselowski, who did well to recover from his penalty. Harvick finished the race in 9th, while Stewart was classified in 34th.
