Gene Haas currently has his finger in two pies, NASCAR and Formula One. To be precise, he is the owner of the Haas F1 and Stewart-Haas Racing NASCAR teams. Of course, given their connection, there will be occasions for a crossover. Very recently, veteran driver Kevin Harvick visited the Stewart-Haas Racing workshop.

It just so happened that there was an old Formula One car present as well. Harvick was not alone, as his son Keelan accompanied him. Speaking of which, the boy wasted no time rushing over and hopping into the car. The moment the tweet was posted, fans could not help but see themselves being driven to the comments section!

Fans went gaga over the F1–NASCAR semi-crossover

Kevin Harvick could not resist taking a picture of his son in the car, which F1 driver Kevin Magnussen drove. The car model is from the 2018 season when Magnussen bagged 11 Top 10 finishes and a best finish of 5th that year.

Naturally, several NASCAR fans were thrilled to see this semi-crossover between F1 and NASCAR. Some laughingly declared that an F1 car was a lot more complicated than a go-kart. Others predicted that they could see great things unfolding for the 10-year-old.

How have Kevin Harvick and Kevin Magnussen performed in 2022?

In 2022, both Haas teams enjoyed a fair amount of success and decent performances. Harvick himself managed to notch up two consecutive Cup Series wins at Michigan and at Richmond. That was enough to see him enter the Playoffs, but the bad news was that he got eliminated in the first round itself. Also joining him were Austin Dillon, Tyler Reddick, and Kyle Busch.

Meanwhile, Kevin Magnussen pulled off some up-and-down performances in the 2022 Formula One season. Undoubtedly, the biggest highlight in his career was a maiden pole position at the Brazilian Grand Prix. Admittedly, he was unable to finish the actual race, because he got punted out by Daniel Ricciardo. Nevertheless, the overnight hero definitely turned a lot of heads on that Friday.
