Earlier on Broadway, Chase Elliott was out on the streets entertaining the crowd. Then, he kicked things up a notch when WWE wrestler, Sheamus, hopped into his car for a ride. Suffice to say, the Irishman had a lot of fun and was cheering all the way through the same.

This is hardly the first time the wrestler has been associated with NASCAR. Back in 2020, he was named as the honorary pace car driver for the 62nd edition of the Daytona 500. Prior to that, the Celtic Warrior spent some time with NASCAR’s resident hot-head, Kyle Busch.

What is Chase Elliott up to now?

For now, Elliott will be enjoying his holidays, especially leading up to Christmas and New Year. Later, it will be back in the saddle, preparing for the 2022 NASCAR Cup season. This will be a hugely important time, as the sport transitions from the current Gen 6 spec, to the Next Gen cars.

After winning in 2020, he failed to defend his title, though he gave it a very good shot. Ultimately, he lost out to his teammate, Kyle Larson, as well as Joe Gibbs Racing duo, Martin Truex Jr., and Denny Hamlin.

Now, 2022 will be a new year and a blank slate, especially with the new cars in play. It could be a chance to try and get his crown back and deny Larson back-to-back Cup Series titles.
