On the list of unexpected things to look out for during the recent Bristol dirt race, one thing no one could’ve come up with was a feud between Chase Elliott and Cody Ware. Yet that’s exactly what happened.

And thanks to the NASCAR Radioactive from the race, we can take an inside look at what happened during this bizarre incident between the two.

During lap 162 of the race, the Hendrick driver shoved the front of his No.9 into Cody Ware’s car, which led to a caution being brought out.

“He just wrecked us. Chase (Elliott) just wrecked us,” Cody Ware’s spotter said.

But as soon as the caution ended, Ware hit the 2020 Cup champion from behind in an attempt to taste some instant revenge, something his spotter tried to talk him out of. “Easy Cody (Ware)! Stop bud,” he said. “Stop Cody! You’re ahead of him.”

“I’m tired of getting bullied by all these guys,” Cody Ware reasoned.

The crew chief of Chase Elliott had some pretty harsh words for Cody Ware

While Cody Ware’s spotter was trying to be the voice of reason for his driver while he was hell-bent on wrecking the Hendrick Chevy, Elliott’s crew chief, Alan Gustafson fired back by being the voice of wrath.

Just as Ware rammed Elliott’s car from behind, Gustafson said, “Who is that fucking idiot in that car… Jesus Christ. Who is that idiot… who is that guy?”

Chase Elliott’s crew chief, who recently found himself on the wrong end of his driver’s loyal fanbase as a scapegoat, added, “He’s a fucking moron, he’s been in the fucking way… if he cuts our tire I’m gonna whip his ass.”

“Better get ready to whip his ass because he’s trying to,” Elliott’s spotter chimed in.
