For the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity season, the Kaulig Racing team is signing Jeb Burton to their squad. The team partnered with Nutrien Ag Solutions and together, they offered him a 33-race schedule in the Xfinity series. Suffice to say, Burton was quite emotional when he was told.

Both the team and the sponsor are eager to see Jeb Burton grow up and really mature into a great driver. The 28-year old said, “There is nobody that wants this opportunity more than myself. I will do everything on and off the race track. We can do a really good job together.”

With this new deal, the 28-year old will pilot the No. 10 Chevrolet. The car’s previous occupant was Ross Chastain, who has been promoted to the Cup Series with Chip Ganassi Racing. With Jeff Burton’s nephew in the car, the team will be aiming to improve upon Chastain’s seventh place in the standings.

The 28-year old partners Justin Haley and will be keen to carry on the tradition of reaching the Xfinity playoffs. To be precise, All of Kaulig’s full-time drivers, Blake Koch, Ryan Truex, Haley, and Chastain have done it before. In fact, Haley was the first one to reach the Championship 4 in 2020.

The Virginia native boasts of a wealth of experience in the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and the Truck Series. It also helps that he hails from a rich racing pedigree, as he is the son of Daytona 500 champion Ward Burton and Jeff Burton’s nephew. So far, he only has one Truck Series win to date, but he will be eager to add more trophies to his cabinet in the near future.

Prior to the full-time Kaulig role, he served as a part-time driver for JR Motorsports in the Xfinity series. So far, his career-best finish is a second-place run at the Richmond Raceway. Hopefully, he can better that in the 2021 Xfinity season, though Justin Haley will not make it too easy for him.
