With no NASCAR racing on the horizon, the drivers have divided most of their time. While some are testing the Next Gen cars, others are relaxing and spending time with their families. Stewart-Haas Racing driver Kevin Harvick falls in the latter category, as he was spending time with his son Keelan Harvick.

As it turns out, the younger Harvick was at the Millbridge Speedway dirt track, and he was tearing it up. The boy looked like he was having the time of his life, and his father was proudly looking on. Kevin Harvick also mentioned that he had some help from fellow racer, Brent Crews and his team.

Crews and company will be great mentors, as he has amassed 3 World titles and 12 National Championships. In all honesty, Keelan Harvick looked right at home on the race track, and got some good laps in. Coming to Kevin himself, the driver is looking forward to the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season.

At the age of 45, one would think that retirement could soon be on the horizon. However, the driver has refuted such claims and insists that he is still going strong. Additionally, he was pretty much single-handedly carrying the Stewart-Haas Racing team in the 2021 season.

Unfortunately, he went winless in this year’s campaign, which is a far cry from the 2020 season. At that time, he was vying with Denny Hamlin for the most wins in the season. Sadly, he was but a pale shadow of that form in 2021, and he was eliminated early in the championship.

So it would be wise to think that Kevin Harvick will approach the upcoming season with a point to prove. He will want all of his rivals to know that there is still life left in the old dog. So, it would be foolish to rule him out of contention. Especially at a time when the Next Gen cars are debuting, and it could shake up the field.
