Watch: Kevin Harvick Misses Martin Truex Jr’s Spinning Car by Inches

Yesterday, Martin Truex Jr was involved in an accident that almost started a ‘big one’ as he spun toward the oncoming traffic. Kevin Harvick was lucky enough to come out of it unscratched.

NASCAR posted a video of the incident from Harvick’s car camera. It shows how lucky Harvick was and how much he could have been wrecked if Truex’s Joe Gibbs Toyota had touched his car.

In the race, Harvick had a decent run and got a ‘Top-5’ finish behind Kyle Busch. He now leads the NASCAR Cup Series points table by 91 points. Ryan Blaney, who finished the race in third place behind the Richard Childless racing lockout at P1 and P2 stands in second place.

Austin Dillion won the race, his first win of 2020. His teammate Tyler Reddick was a mere 0.149-seconds behind him. After that, Kyle Busch took the 4th spot and Harvick rounded up the ‘Top-5’.

In the race, After a restart, then race leader Ryan Blaney lost control while entering Turn 4. As a result, the whole pack of cars behind him came closer to each other. During the close racing, drivers fought to grab the lead and in the offense, Aric Almirola turned hard toward Kyle Busch’s car.

Kyle Busch was forced to drift into the rear of his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Truex Jr’s car. After that, Truex hit the barriers and spun toward the coming traffic. Additionally, Kyle drifted toward the grass field and endured minor damages. Truex lost a lot of places and the wreck ended his chances at the win. However, Kyle was able to recover and finished the race in fourth place.
