Last weekend, the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval hosted the final race of the Round of 12. At that race, there were a fair number of celebrities and dignitaries. Among them was Hollywood actor Daniel Craig, who was promoting his newly-released film, ‘No Time to Die’. Ahead of the race, Craig had a small chat with Joe Gibbs Racing driver, Kyle Busch.

In their chat, Busch asked the actor whether he would perform any stunts. However, Craig quickly denied it and suggested that the #18 driver perform his own. Busch said, “I like to pretend too. We’re right on the cut line. So we have to make sure that we have a good solid day today. Last year, we didn’t finish good, but we ran good. So hopefully we should do the same thing this year.”

How did Kyle Busch perform in the race?

Admittedly, Busch did have a decent race, even though Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson won. This is because, he finished 4th, behind non-Playoff drivers Tyler Reddick and Chris Buescher. With the 4th place finish, the #18 driver has propelled himself to 5th place in the championship battle.

With four races left, Kyle Busch will be keen to enter the Championship 4. Now, the NASCAR Cup Series paddock heads to the Texas Motor Speedway for this weekend’s race. It is worth mentioning that Busch won the Texas race last year, so he could be one of the favorites to repeat his win.

If he does manage to win again, it will surely seal his berth in the Championship 4. However, the likes of Kyle Larson and his own teammate, Denny Hamlin, are tough customers.

Even drivers like Chase Elliott, Martin Truex Jr, Ryan Blaney, Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski will be on the prowl. One thing is for sure, the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series title will be hotly contested, and Kyle Busch will be in the thick of things.
