During a NASCAR Truck Series race at Homestead, the Number 2 car of Sheldon Creed had a very hairy moment. Apparently, Creed misjudged his entry into the pit road and crashed into the yellow protective barrels.

At the time, there were 26 laps to go, but the impact brought out the red flags for 16 minutes. Obviously, it took a while for the marshals to clean up the mess. Luckily, the 22-year old escaped unhurt, but it was race over for him and a massive repair job for the team.

Who won the NASCAR race at Homestead?

In the end, Kyle Busch won the NASCAR Trucks Series, his 58th career win. This was also his eighth victory from his last 10 truck starts.

“It was awesome tonight,” declared a jubilant Busch. “This is how we”re supposed to perform and run and look. Really good race for us.”

Rounding out the top three were Tyler Ankrum was second and stage 1 winner, Ross Chastain. Meanwhile, last year’s winner, Brett Moffitt didn’t make it past 20 laps after a big crash.

Meanwhile, Chase Elliott pitted, got four new tires to replace the ones he ruined in the earlier crash. However, Busch was practically unstoppable, so the real battle was going on behind him for second place.

What made it even more incredible was that Busch had to start at the back of the field. In addition to that, he served a pass-through penalty for failing pre-race inspection. The good news was that he managed to stay on the lead lap, then worked his way to the front and made it all seem easy.

It truly was one of the best comebacks against all odds. After going winless in three consecutive trucks races, Kyle Busch was on a mission for redemption and he put pedal to the metal and dominated.
