When the Daytona 500 kicks off, the NASCAR-themed Netflix show, ‘The Crew’ will air on the following day. In order to help promote the sitcom series, NASCAR and The Crew partnered with Busch Beer for a special commercial. It even featured a small cameo from Stewart-Haas Racing driver Kevin Harvick.

All in all, this is simply serving to build up the new Cup season. As a bonus, it is also promoting the sitcom series to the fans. This commercial tells the story of one of the characters, Bobby Spencer, and his impact on the sport.

According to this fictionalized universe, Spencer won the Daytona 500 in his heyday.

Harvick even mentioned that the man always won. For him, it was either win or crash while trying. Back in January, actor, and comedian, Kevin James unveiled the trailer for ‘The Crew’.

According to the synopsis, Spencer is a former racer who retired and decided to start his own NASCAR team.

The plot also reveals that sometime down the line, Spencer stepped down as a team owner. From there, his daughter took over the reins and proceeded to try and revamp or modernize the whole team. However, she faced heavy resistance from James and his crew, who were set in their ways.

Of course, it would not be a NASCAR-themed series without a few drivers and personnel cameos. As it turns out, Austin Dillon, Ryan Blaney, and Cole Custer are a few of the drivers who will make an appearance.

Aside from Kevin James, Freddie Stroma, Sarah Stiles, Gary Anthony Williams, and Dan Ahdoot are in starring roles. The show also features guest stars, Paris Berelc, and Bruce McGill as Bobby Spencer.

The best part is that the show will feature authentic racing footage, logos, and stock cars. It is also worth mentioning that Reed Sorenson took on driving duties in the #74 Fake Steak car.
