WATCH: NASCAR Xfinity Driver Noah Gragson Crashes Out Joe Gibbs Racing’s Riley Herbst

The NASCAR Xfinity race at Texas saw Noah Gragson in an incident that cost him and Riley Herbst dearly. After Noah lost control of his car he rear-ended Herbst’s Toyota.

NASCAR Xfinity posted a clip of the incident on Twitter, they wrote, “The 18 goes around! Following contact with @NoahGragson, @rileyherbst suffers heavy damage coming off of the corner at @TXMotorSpeedway.”

After the race, Riley talked to the media. He expressed his frustration. He said, “Honestly, it sucks. I hate it for my guys at the Joe Gibbs Racing team.”

He revealed that it was his first time at the Texas venue and he was just getting comfortable. He said, “I think it was lap 4 or 5, I was just kinda learning the race track here. It’s the first time for me at the Texas Motor Speedway.

“And the number 9 car decided to run through us, so real shame. I hate it for my guys but he’s got a lot more to lose than I do, so we’ll see what happens.”

After hitting Riley in the earlier laps, Gregson was fighting for the third place. However, he went a bit too far with his offense and grazed the sidewall. He lost control of the car for a moment and made a hard turn.

He lost a few places and suffered some damage. After that, his car went up in the turn uncontrollably and he had to slow down to avoid any more damage.

NASCAR Xfinity posted a video on Twitter. They wrote, “That’s going to leave a mark. Caution is out for @NoahGragson in the final stage of the #MBS300.”

Owing to the extensive damage, both Gregson and Riley were unable to finish the race. Noah was at thirtieth and Riley at the second last spot only behind Kyle Busch who was disqualified after taking the checkered flag at P1.
