Tonight NASCAR Xfinity is running on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course for the first time ever in the ‘Pennzoil 150’. And drivers are going to have a thought time figuring out the new road course.

The race will start at 3:00 PM EST. Earlier on Friday, Xfinity drivers got the first taste of the layout of the road course in two 55-minute practice sessions. During the practice session, Jeremy Clements driver of the Number 51 Chevrolet for Clements Racing was seen struggling to keep all the wheels on the track. This is the first outing of all the drivers on IMS outside the virtual simulators.

NASCAR Xfinity posted a video on Twitter. They wrote, The IMS Road Course: four tires, optional.”. After that, even Cup Series driver Chase Elliott shared the video.

Indiana native, Chase Briscoe said, “Yeah, I’ve been practicing on the simulator since February for the Indy race. Additionally, Jeremy Clements stated that he hasn’t done any practice on sims and it will be a surprise. He said, “I think it’ll be a lot of fun. I really have no idea about the track. We don’t have any simulators or any of that stuff. I don’t know. Kind of going in blind, so I’m going to be a little bit behind there. I think Ford’s got the track on their simulator, but I don’t know. I’m going to get on Forza on my Xbox and see, I think it’s on there.”
