At the Richmond Raceway way back in the day, Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski engaged in a spot of banter. Edwards had just managed to finish 2nd at Richmond in 2011 behind Kevin Harvick. In the press conference, he talked about his race where he did not pit in the closing stages of the race.

In light of that, Keselowski asked him why he did not pit. At that, Edwards casually quipped, “Sc**w you, Brad. I’m actually excited that Brad didn’t get those bonus points. I think he’s going to be a big threat for the championship. I didn’t know that until just now, so I’m kind of pumped about that.”

What have Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski been up to?
Since then, Edwards has gone on to race until his final season in 2016 before retiring. In his career, he has never won the Cup Series championship. However, he did come close on two occasions, namely 2008 and 2011. Even in his final season in the NASCAR Cup Series arena, he finished in a respectable 4th place.

On the other hand, Keselowski is still competing in the NASCAR Cup Series. After spending most of his career in the Team Penske stable, he has moved to Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing this year. Obviously, as the name suggests, he is the driver-owner of the outfit and is driving the #6 car. Admittedly, he is having a tough first season, with just one Top 10 finish at the Daytona 500 under his belt. However, the 2012 Cup Series champion is hoping that he can turn his season around.

All that he needs to do is bag just one win and he will book his berth in the Playoffs. From there, the veteran driver can try to challenge for a second Cup Series title. Naturally, the path will not be easy, especially with Hendrick Motorsports and Joe Gibbs Racing in fine form. However, Keselowski will be aiming to cause an upset.
