Byron revealed that this was not the first time he dropped a phone, but the last time it happened, it broke. Fortunately, this one managed to live to fight another day. Nobody knows how it happened but some suspect that when he put it on a stand, it wasn’t positioned properly.

How will William Byron perform in the Playoffs?

At last weekend’s race at the Daytona International Speedway, William Byron managed to pull through and win the race. This helped him lock down a berth in the playoffs. Unfortunately, it came at the expense of Hendrick Motorsports teammate, Jimmie Johnson.

The #24 driver won the regular-season finale in spite of a late-race crash. This incident ensured that the race went into overtime, but that did not stop Byron.

The 22-year old soldiered on amid left-rear damage to his car and took the restart in second. Byron managed to edged ahead into the lead just before the white flag waved.

Byron was lucky that teammate Chase Elliott gave him a helping hand to keep the lead and take his maiden Cup Series win. In the process, he also managed to ensure that he made his second appearance in the playoffs in three years.

However, William Byron knows that the season is far from over and he will commence a tough battle in the playoffs. There are several drivers who have a shot at winning the 2020 Cup Series. Kevin Harvick is definitely one of the favourites, with seven wins in the bag.

However, William Byron will be eager to ensure that Harvick stays at 7 wins and lead the charge against the #4 driver.
