In 2021, Bubba Wallace enjoyed a great maiden season with 23XI Racing. The 28-year-old has delivered some consistent performances this year and even cracked the T0p 5 on two occasions. Soon, his efforts culminated in an unexpected, but not unwelcome win at the Talladega Superspeedway. With the 2021 campaign over, Wallace reflected on that particular win.

He said, “I’ve watched that race probably 100 times now. I’ll often think about it just what we were able to do as a team that day and the feeling going into it. I kind of had a preconceived notion that we were going to win. It was just something that obviously I tell myself, ‘Hey, we’re gonna win’ every weekend. But this one was a little bit different and a feeling that I haven’t had in a long time.

Bubba Wallace will hope to carry this momentum in 2022

With that maiden win, it will provide an impetus to the fledgling team. To be precise, it will motivate them to build on that first win for the team and the driver. Now for the 2022 NASCAR Cup season, the team has expanded to a second car with Kurt Busch behind the wheel of the #45 machine.

Together, the two of them could potentially propel the 23XI Racing team to new heights. Considering that Busch is hugely experienced and a former champion, his inputs will be valuable. Additionally, Bubba Wallace can learn a lot from the veteran NASCAR driver and improve himself as a driver.

The African-American driver has a lot to prove and has a massive chip on his shoulder. We are eager to look forward to his performance in the upcoming season.
