And because of that, the controversial driver received a mouthful from one of his ‘victims’, Austin Dillon.
“Looks like we’re a casualty of Ross Chastain once again,” Dillon said. “I told myself we were gonna race hard all day. It wasn’t one of those things where I wanted to ride in the back and be at the end.”

“But when you’ve got guys like him out there wrecking half the field, you might as well pick a different strategy.”

Ross Chastain knows he’s attracted a bit too much attention to himself
In a recent interview, Ross Chastain described that if he can just “clean up” some parts of his driving style, if he can “race with a little cooler head”, he can still do what he wants to do “a little bit better way.”
“I’m all for … being you know, the show sometimes, and I’m good, I’m OK with that. I’ve accepted that, but I probably don’t need to be it every single week,” Chastain said.

The Trackhouse Racing driver admitted that even for his own liking, he’s gathered a little too much attention on himself. However, he knows he has no one else to blame.
“Most of it’s my own doing,” he added.
