Recently, Joey Logano spoke to FOX Sports about the impact of the COVID-19 virus on the NASCAR season schedule. It has been a while since the COVID-19 pandemic reared its head, and it will not go away for a very long time.

As a result, many sporting series had to compromise on their schedules to accommodate it. In NASCAR’s case, they eliminated practice and qualifying sessions completely.

He said, “The dynamics are just as important to win, as ever during the playoffs. No practice makes it always questionable but we’re almost used to that, at this point with no practice. Not knowing what’s coming around the corner next and not knowing who’s fast.”

What else did Joey Logano say?

The #22 driver acknowledged that this aspect changes the dynamic of the race. However, he also noted that they are all used to the new change.

According to Joey Logano, there may be a few teams that adapted to the change quicker than others. He observed, “I don’t think the playoffs have changed what we’ve done, been doing in the past few weeks.”

Since Logano knows that staying alive in the playoff competition is important, he will be eager to bag more wins. He has already picked up two wins this season. Therefore, turning the opportunity to clinch more wins seems preposterous.

Logano is also rivaling Martin Truex Jr in terms of consistency. This is because he has strung together six consecutive Top-10 finishes until Daytona. Sadly, he got caught up in one of the many wrecks at the track last weekend. This bumped him all the way down to 27th.

However, he will not give up and will be looking to recreate his 2018 playoff form that clinched a NASCAR Cup Series title. So, when the Darlington race swings around this weekend, Joey Logano will be on a mission.
