Tyler Reddick isn’t the type of NASCAR driver who fans dislike or criticize. In fact, the 23XI Racing driver is a pretty well-liked person all over the garage and inside the fanbase too. Of course, his skills behind a racecar also raise his stock.

But then there are exceptions, even for folks like Reddick.

Because of what he recently did before the Clash at the LA Coliseum. Well, that just didn’t sit well with the fans.

Fans find Reddick’s gesture “super cringe”

Prior to the race, Tyler Reddick walked up to his former car, the #8 of RCR currently driven by Kyle Busch, and put on a sticker of ‘Kyle Scott.’ The sticker was essentially an edited picture of Busch’s face with rapper Travis Scott’s hair.

The sticker was actually an NFT from Garage Guys, as they posted the video to clarify Reddick’s intentions behind doing this to Rowdy was to bless his old car.

This, for most NASCAR fans, was pretty unacceptable, not just because of what he did, but the sticker, the morphed image, and the people involved.

“What a terrible day to have eyes,” one NASCAR fan reacted while another wrote, “Does anyone else find these guys super cringe? Their content never has impressed me.”

A fan event went to claim, “Reddick is a bit cringe for sure, but the garage guys are solid. They do them and it’s funny and they can bring out a casual and real chill side of the drivers they interview that we don’t usually see.”

“Pure cringe,” a reaction read while another went like, “I was just coming here to comment this, they always look like they’re about to say something funny but never do. Kinda border on the douchey and I would know as I recognize my own.”

Tyler Reddick on racing for Toyota from racing at Chevrolet

In a recent interview with RACER, Tyler Reddick opened up on the differences between racing for Chevrolet at RCR, and now at Toyota with 23XI. For Reddick, the Japanese OEM is “really impressive.”

“The TRD family treats the drivers really, really well. They talk about how it is one big family and it really is. I’m getting to know everyone over there. My boss, Denny Hamlin, drives for them,” he described.
