NASCAR Xfinity Series Race: Will Rain Play the Spoilsport?

NASCAR is planning to shift the Wednesday night race to Thursday or Friday if rain interrupts the race. Tomorrow, NASCAR will run an Xfinity Series race at Darlington.

Famous sports analyst Stephen Young reveals in a tweet. He was replying to a question asked by a twitter user. He says that NASCAR is planning to move the race to the next day if rain interrupts the proceeding. Young said, “NASCAR has said they’re okay with racing Thursday or Friday and the teams agreed.”

The weather department has given a forecast of ‘high likelihood of rain’ on Wednesday in Darlington. Additionally, we can expect intermittent rainfall for the next few days.

And social media is abuzz talking about the effect of the rain on the tightly packed schedule.

NASCAR will run 6 races in the next 9 days

The series is planning to take over one of the most rigorous season calendar in its history. This week NASCAR will have 2 races in Darlington and will move to Charlotte the next day to have 3 more races there. All this will be done in the next 9 days.

After that, races will be held in Bristol, Atlanta, Martinsville, and Miami. Additionally, NASCAR can announce new races as soon as this week as more and more states open for business. However, many states are still not allowing the series to organize races even without fans and the update 2020 calendar can exclude many legacy races.

The Cup Series will profit to live activity for Sunday evening, with a 400-mile race at Darlington.  And NASCAR has set up numerous wellbeing shields. Including no spectators for this week’s occasion. Other things include screenings, social separating, and compartmentalization. Additionally, the utilization of individual defensive hardware like face covers and gloves is a must while at the track.
