In 2007, Rihanna and Gordon drove together to the California Speedway’s ‘Running Wide Open’, an event hosted by the former Hendrick driver.

Speaking of her experience of being driven around by a four-time NASCAR Cup champion, Rihanna said, “It was fun, I mean I was screaming, but it was rockstar, it was fun.”

The pop star did confess then that she knew little to nothing about NASCAR because of her background.

NASCAR is something very new to me because growing up in Barbados, NASCAR isn’t known that much, not at all actually. So I’m not really very familiar with it,” she added.

However, since then, both cultural icons have come a long way. The pop star has carved out an incredible career and a fan following for herself.

She was recently in the headlines for her epic photoshoot in which she flaunted her baby bump. But a few days later, she was once again on everyone’s lips for something else.

That something was the rumor of her split with ASAP Rocky.

Gordon added that the Le Mans program is something that would be exciting, something he wants to be a part of. “We are a part of it with Hendrick, but I just don’t know if I’ll be able to get behind the wheel and drive it in that race,” he said.

“I’m certainly going to go play around with the car when we get it. Play around with the simulator and see if it’s something that’s realistic.”
