You can catch your dear NASCAR drivers at Smyrna

The New Smyrna races happen in one of the busiest and most jampacked weeks in short-track competition. Some notable events in the World Series attract racers from all across the US. Short-track racer Ryan Flores recently sat down at a discussion table with NASCAR staff Kim Coon and laid down the schedule.

He described his favorite race of the series. “My favorite race of the weekend, the John Blewett Memorial 76. So I grew up working for John, so it’s a race that’s near and dear to my heart. So I’m excited to get down there and cheer for his buddy Jimmy Blewett.”

Flores dropped a bombshell by mentioning some big names that are going to be racing. “For the late models, the Clyde Hart Memorial on Tuesday night. I heard Chase Elliott might even be there in ASA Late Model.”

He further said, “We saw Ryan Preece kinda lay out of the Modified a lot of last year, to focus more on his Cup career. But the end of the year he gets back in his Modified, goes to win at Martinsville. You can see him, and the ever popular Landon Hoffman in the Modifieds. You look at the Late Models, Chase Elliott, Ty Majeski, son of Travis Kvapvil, Caden Kvapvil.”

Kim Coon also added her own favorite names: “I love seeing Toni Breidinger and Katie Hettinger on that list too.”
