No individual can win a team sport by themself. But what about winning a race? When it comes to the NASCAR tracks, there can only be one winner. And hence, it’s no surprise that the races are insanely fast, competitive, and full of wrecks. However, after Monday’s race at Dover, it looks like Joe Gibbs Racing drivers Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell need to learn a bit more about teamwork on the tracks.
Sunday’s Cup Series race at the Dover International Speedway was postponed to Monday afternoon due to the bad weather conditions. With Martin Truex Jr registering his first Cup race victory since 2021, the track witnessed certain glimpses of passionate racing from the drivers. But what caught the attention of many was the radio communication of Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin.

Frustrated Denny Hamlin asks Christopher Bell to get out of his way
During stage 2 of the race, Hamlin was eyeing the fourth position in the race. However, unable to get past his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, Christopher Bell, Hamlin was unsuccessful in moving up the track. Frustrated by his inability to pass Bell, Hamlin voiced his irritation over his in-car radio. He said,
“Common C Bell! Get the f**k out of my way.”
However, unable to understand what exactly was going on with his teammate, Bell was heard saying over his radio, “What is Denny doing?”
Bell just asked: "What is Denny doing?" …. Apparently was unaware that Hamlin was mad at him.

Uh oh! Looks like Bell had no idea that his teammate Hamlin was mad at him.
Moreover, urging the #11 driver to stay calm, his JGR Crew Chief Chris Gabehart responded, “Settle in. You will pass him.”
"Come on Adam. F*cking bullshit" Denny Hamlin says, as he's struggling to get by his JGR teammates Christopher Bell.

NASCAR fans seize the opportunity to get back at Hamlin
Well, even though the viewers could not get a response from Christopher Bell for Denny Hamlin’s frustration-instilled rant, Twitter users made sure to remind Hamlin that he was in a race, and his teammate is supposed to be his competition. While some called out the 23XI Racing co-owner for “whining,” a few others pointed out that Hamlin has never done the same for Bell.

A fan, while appreciating how Hamlin carries himself off the tracks, had something more to add: “Denny is great off the track his personality and everything but man he gets behind the wheel and he’s cries about everything.”
