But other than that, he had also suffered other issues during the year. The Daily Mail had reported that Ashley Van Metre, the then-wife of Busch, had filed for divorce. In her plea, she claimed that the marriage had “irretrievably broken” after Busch “committed a tortious act.”

The pair tied the knot in 2016 after having met for the first time in 2016. This was announced around the time Busch won the Daytona 500.

But relations took a strong beating, souring in dramatic fashion in 2022. According to the same reports, Busch had allegedly “cut her off financially by blocking access to their joint bank account and credit cards.”

For a long while in 2022, Ashley Van Metre had sadly been converted into just the “ex-wife of Kurt Busch” by tabloids and paparazzi. Thankfully, that phase has ended in her life, and she is looking happy.

After that tragic episode, Van Metre was single for a long time. But her recent Instagram activity suggests she might have found a new beau. She posted a sweet picture of herself with a Benjamin Larsen.

Further research suggests Mr. Larsen might not be highly involved publicly. He has a private account on the social media site, with close to 1,000 followers.

Van Metre is a professional polo player and has won multiple tournaments during the course of her career. Her achievements on the field have also earned her the honor of being the brand ambassador for US Polo Assn., the multi-million dollar clothing manufacturer.
